Clinton Creek Mini-Reunion, July 2009
From Noreen McGowan
January 26, 2009
It has been over 30 years since the Clinton Creek mine closed down. Can you believe that that much time has passed --- when some memories are a fresh as they ever were?
The Friends of Clinton Creek Society is planning the 30+1 Reunion on July 24-26, 2009 and requests an indication of your intention to attend. If you worked at Clinton Creek or Cassiar, we want to you to join us in celebrating the wonderful people we all worked with and reminiscing about life in a mining town 30 plus years ago. If you have not already done so, please call now to help us determine the numbers to plan for.
We are trying to get this message out to as many people who lived or worked at Clinton Creek or Cassiar as possible, so please send this to anyone you are in touch with and if they are interested they can contact us, or send us their contact information.

Here are two pdf documents sent from the Clinton Creek reunion organizers. Anyone interested in the attending the reunion, or knowing someone who might, should view and print both these documents.
Clinton Creek Letter March 2009.pdf
Clinton Creek Rock Fluff February 2009.pdf
The files are in Adobe Acrobat file format. You will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader software to open and print the pdf file. Many computers already have the very popular Acrobat Reader program installed. If you don't have it installed you can download the reader program for free from Adobe's website at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. Acrobat Reader is simple to install and simple to use. There is help on the Adobe website and in Acrobat's help menu.
These two facebook groups may be of interest to former residents of Clinton Creek that have www.facebook.com accounts,
"Folks Who Lived in Clinton Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada"
"Clinton Creek Mine Reunion"
|I personally take this opportunity to send my best wishes for a wonderful reunion to those who are working hard to make it happen and to those who will attend. I know from personal experience it takes a lot of effort to organize such an event and also know how rewarding it was for everyone who participated.|
